This article was prompted if not inspired by a sighting, on my way to the Subway in Manhattan. I was heading home from work ten days ago and saw that someone had decided to hang a Palestinian flag inside their fifth floor living room window at the intersection of Eighth Avenue and West Fifty-Seventh Street. It was large enough to be visible for blocks south of the window. I stewed at this outpouring of hostility, as its only purpose could have been to support a supposed Palestinian cause at the expense of Israel’s most recent cause and those who support Israel unconditionally – principally Jews.
