Amusing Thoughts While Obtaining the First Coffee of the Day
Las Noticias del Mundo:
Not to be outdone by Mount Etna and its recent eruptions,
Pompeii and neighboring Herculaneum, ancient Roman towns, in a freak act of nature, were completely buried once again by volcanic ash and pyroclastic flows from a recalcitrant and recently-erupted Mount Vesuvius which famously erupted in 79 AD, burying the Roman towns. Some of the archeological recovery workers, caught in the explosions, will now be represented by new plaster casts - the first to appear on the sites in 2000 years.

Alexa Poetry Slam
In an unexpected twist, Amazon is changing the way people speak to their Alexa devices. In a concern for security, proving that you are a human, users will now have to address their devices in verse. An example:
Dear Alexa, make it right,
Please, for all, turn out the light.
Hi Alexa, how’s your cheer?
Find a pub that serves my beer.
Alexa, Alexa, shopping spree,
Buy me pods and frozen Brie.
For more serious poetry fans, Prime users will be able to use free verse.
Alexa, tables of material delights,
Procured from clouds
Our ones, our zeroes in infinite pickets
Of yea and nay
Availing our need for goods
That fill our closet and our cup
Please order toilet paper and free-trade decaf.

All Mobile Revue!
In the name of innovation and technology, and as a way of capturing new audiences, classic plays are coming to Broadway as all-cell productions, where the actors text one another on-stage. Barefoot in the Park, The Mad Woman of Chaillot, and Picnic will be among the featured plays in the series, where audiences will receive a group text from each actor, with each line. In addition, the stage production will be streamed so that members of the seated crowd can see the play without looking up.
Intermission will feature coffee, sponge cake, and a vast charging outlet. Each show will begin with a reminder to turn your cell phone on.
